Rainbow Fruit Salad

A colourful and fun way to introduce fruit

Ingredients:

  • Strawberries (red)
  • Green grapes (green)
  • Blueberries (blue)
  • Orange slices (orange)
  • Pineapple chunks (yellow)
  • Kiwi slices (green)

Instructions:

  1. Wash and cut the fruit into bite-sized pieces
  2. Mix the fruit in a large bowl
  3. Serve as a colorful and healthy snack!

Fruit salad is a fun and easy way to incorporate fruits into your kids lunchbox. It is easily customisable to the fruits they enjoy and hopefully a chance to include one or two they are not so sure about!

How to prepare it safely – choose a kid friendly knife: one that they can easily grip and is the right size for their hands. Standard cutlery is great for soft fruit such as bananas, strawberries and kiwi fruit. Even the littlest hands can safely have a go!

You can also prepare the fruits and keep them separate which will preserve their integrity – simply cut and and place into different containers or layer next to each other in a larger contatiner
