These cute little biscuits are perfect for a Valentines Day treat or just sharing with someone special

Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 cups Self Raising Flour
  • 2 tbsp Corn Flour
  • 125g Butter
  • 1/2 cup Icing sugar
  • 1 Egg yolk
  • 1 teasp Vanilla
  • 115g raspberry or strawberry jam

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 170 degrees
  2. Cream butter and sugar together until light and fluffy
  3. Add egg yolk and vanilla, mix until well combined
  4. Add flours, mix until well combined
  5. Roll out small tablespoon amounts of dough into balls
  6. Evenly place on oven tray lined with baking paper
  7. Make small heart shaped indents in top of dough by pressing your finger at an angle to the left then meeting the same angle. See video below
  8. Spoon small amounts of jam into the indents
  9. Bake in oven for 15-20 minutes until golden
  10. Store in airtight container for 4-5 days
  11. Biscuits will firm once cooled
