Milo Slice

This is a great beginner recipe that is delicious in the lunchbox or just for an anytime treat!


  • 1/2 cup self-raising flour
  • 1/2 cup plain flour
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 2/3 cup shredded coconut
  • 2/3 cup brown sugar firmly packed
  • 1/2 cup Milo
  • 1 egg whisked
  • 125 g butter melted


  1. Preheat oven to 170 degrees celsius
  2. Measure dry ingredients into a bowl
  3. Add butter and egg, mix well until combined
  4. Press mixture into lined slice tray and use a back of a spoon or spatula to press down until even
  5. Bake for 15-20 minutes until firm

Ice with chocolate icing if desired

  • 1 cup icing mixture
  • 2 tbsp cocoa
  • 1 tbsp melted butter
  • 1 tbsp milk

Mix ingredients together in a bowl until smooth. If too thick add small amount of milk. If too thin add extra icing mixture
