Milo Slice
This is a great beginner recipe that is delicious in the lunchbox or just for an anytime treat!
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup self-raising flour
- 1/2 cup plain flour
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 2/3 cup shredded coconut
- 2/3 cup brown sugar firmly packed
- 1/2 cup Milo
- 1 egg whisked
- 125 g butter melted
Method
- Preheat oven to 170 degrees celsius
- Measure dry ingredients into a bowl
- Add butter and egg, mix well until combined
- Press mixture into lined slice tray and use a back of a spoon or spatula to press down until even
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until firm
Ice with chocolate icing if desired
- 1 cup icing mixture
- 2 tbsp cocoa
- 1 tbsp melted butter
- 1 tbsp milk
Mix ingredients together in a bowl until smooth. If too thick add small amount of milk. If too thin add extra icing mixture
